Position Summary

Knox Council has an exciting opportunity available to join our trees team in the role of Proactive Arborist - Parks on a full time permanent basis.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about trees and who knows how to secure the best long term outcomes for our constituents and environment. In this role, your works will include supervision of programmed tree maintenance, cyclic inspections, compilation of valuation assessments and construction impact reports for Council trees affected by development and reactive tree inspections.

The preferred candidate will be a strong communicator with demonstrated qualifications and experience in tree assessment and management of programmed tree works, including a sound understanding of relevant Acts and regulations which may be applied.  Proven experience in supervision of contractors to achieve high quality results, the ability to prepare reports, read plans and utilise computer programs such as Excel, Word and mobile data capture programs are also a must.
